Colonization of intraradical structures of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi by dark septate endophytic fungi

چکیده
Abstract Extraradical spores of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi are often parasitized by a wide range soil microorganisms. However, reports on the parasitization intraradical structures AM very rare. While examining colonization in roots Cuminum cyminum and Sambucus nigra growing medicinal plants garden Centre Medicinal Plants Research Homeopathy Nilgiris, we found that fungal hyphal coils, arbusculate vesicles, colonized dark septate endophytic (DSE) which were co-occurring with fungi. The hyphae significantly wider than DSE Colonization different varied between two plant species. Moreover, percentage was linearly correlated to abundance these structures. is illustrated significance this phenomenon needs further elucidation.

Intraradical colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi triggers induction of a lipochitooligosaccharide receptor
Functional divergence of paralogs following gene duplication is one of the mechanisms leading to evolution of novel pathways and traits. Here we show that divergence of Lys11 and Nfr5 LysM receptor kinase paralogs of Lotus japonicus has affected their specificity for lipochitooligosaccharides (LCOs) decorations, while the innate capacity to recognize and induce a downstream signalling after per...
متن کاملArbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and dark septate fungi in plants associated with aquatic environments
Th ere have been several reports of symbionts in the roots of plants that live in aquatic environments. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are the most common microsymbionts and possibly recolonized the aquatic environment together with plants; however, their functions and the extent of their benefi ts are unclear. Furthermore, the presence of other groups of fungi, such as dark septate fungi (...
متن کاملColonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal and fine endophytic fungi in herbaceous vegetation in the Canadian High Arctic
The occurrence of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi was surveyed along a latitudinal gradient in Arctic Canada including Banks Island (73°N), Devon Island (74°N), Ellesmere Island (76°N), and the Magnetic North Pole at Ellef Ringnes Island (78°N). At Banks Island, AM fungi were present and colonized at a high intensity in all specimens of Potentilla hookeriana Lehm. – Potentilla pulchella R.Br....
متن کاملMitigation of chilling and freezing stresses through colonization with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in spring barley
Cold stress is an important limiting factor for cereal production. Barley is a host species for arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) with a high genetic diversity in response to cold stress. In order to explore the mechanisms for the ameliorative effect of AMF under cold stress, an experiment was undertaken using completely randomized block design with three factors including temperature treatme...
متن کاملPlant coexistence mediated by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi
Recent research has indicated the importance of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in mediating plant coexistence. Coarse-scale studies compare the effects of the presence versus absence of AMF on plant coexistence, a phenomenon that is most relevant in early successional ecosystems where AMF are patchily distributed. By contrast, fine-scale studies investigate interactions that might occur onc...
